Blandine is a very nice and polite young lady, whose favorite activities include running and playing Ampe, a rhythm and clapping pattern game. To help at home, she assists with the cooking and washing dishes. She is in the 7th grade this year and dreams of becoming a midwife when she graduates high school. She has one brother, one sister and their father is in a village helping out at the hospital. 

A typical home is a single room constructed with mud bricks with a tin roof. Families get their water from local wells or streams. Challenges such as malaria, typhoid, divided families and idol worship make life more difficult.
