Yakubu is an active boy whose favorite activity is playing football. He is in grade (1) and dreams of becoming a nurse when he graduates high school. He has three sisters and three brothers. His father lives in Ghana working as a mechanic to help support the family.

 

A typical home is a single room constructed with mud bricks with a tin roof. Families get their water from local wells or streams. Challenges such as malaria, typhoid, divided families, and idol worship make life more difficult.
