Tipaya is an active girl whose favorite activity is playing ampe. She is in grade (1) and dreams of becoming a midwife when she graduates high school. She has one sister and two brothers. Her father lives in Ghana working as a farmer to help support the family.

 

A typical home is a single room constructed with mud bricks with a tin roof. Families get their water from local wells or streams. Challenges such as malaria, typhoid, divided families, and idol worship make life more difficult.
