Mahama is an active boy whose favorite activity is reading. He is in grade (2) and dreams of becoming a teacher when he graduates high school. He has four sisters and two brothers. His father lives in Ghana working as a teacher to help support the family.

 

A typical home is a single room constructed with mud bricks with a tin roof. Families get their water from local wells or streams. Challenges such as malaria, typhoid, divided families, and idol worship make life more difficult.
