Kossi is a great child whose favorite activity is playing soccer. His parents live in Nigeria, where his father is a mechanic. He lives with an older brother here in Togo so that he can attend school. To help at the home, Kossi does some of the sweeping and helps with carrying water. He is in the 4th grade this year and dreams of becoming a doctor or a nurse when he graduates high school.
A typical home is a single room constructed with mud bricks with a tin roof. Families get their water from local wells or streams. Challenges such as malaria, typhoid, divided families and idol worship make life more difficult.
