Hawa is an active girl whose favorite activity is reading. She is in grade two and dreams of becoming a nurse when she graduates high school. She has two sisters and four brothers. To help her mother around the home, she washes the dishes. Her father lives in Ghana working as a farmer to help support the family.

 

 

Their home is a single room constructed with mud bricks with a tin roof. Families get their water from local wells or streams. Challenges such as malaria, typhoid, divided families, and idol worship make life more difficult.
